Hodkin and Jones has supplied fibrous plaster covings to the most famous department store in the world – Harrods. Built in 1849, the Knightsbridge store in London is the largest department store in Europe and even has its own unique postcode.
Hodkin and Jones supplied a bespoke cornice and lighting trough in the luxury stores’ luggage department. Coving is the perfect way to decorate the crown of a room where the wall meets the ceiling. The cornices provided a touch of elegance to a store that embodies opulence and were complimented by discreet uplighting casting a gentle glow on the shopping environment.
Hodkin and Jones were also asked to produce a bespoke fibrous plaster shop fit for Chloé, the French luxury fashion concession in the Harrods store. Our mouldings were used as a decorative backdrop for the luxury handbags and accessories available.
